abdominal exercises???

no matter what abdominal exercises i do, i don't ever feel like i get a "burn", i'm never sore the next day. believe me, i work them out and try doing different things. i've never had a really flat stomach. my personnal trainers having remarked that i am stronger than i look.

what can i do, to REALLY work them out. i have used the slant board with weights, ball, medicine ball, leg lifts...

    It sounds like the exercises you do are primarily targeting your hip flexors, and not your abs. What you really want is to work on your core muscles.

    Try a Pilates or Ashtanga Yoga class. That will work your core muscles big time. Also, it is bad to always work your abs and never work your back. Work out both sides of the body to create a balance.

    Also any kind of balance exercises will work subtle muscles in your core.
